Why the hell am I not allowed to view other people's profiles?

I guess there's some weird permission setting in the CMS. Even when I try to view my own profile it says "You're not allowed to do this".

cobra go to administration> configuration> users> and set Minimum level to list users details : to the level you want, i suggest 1

another question: what happened to the "My files" section?

It looks like someone reset a few of the sites things before i took over, the My Files section will be reserved for SFX members as it has file-size restrictions, so i will not be enabling it for standard members
