hey i didnt know where i should poost this, but, does any 1 know a link to a great anti cheat program? i tried ci but cant seem to get it to work  i have crows auto kick but it wont let me c ip adresses and it wont kick any 1 itll say kicked by there name but it doesnt kick em. i tried lookin for them on the net but ... i heard of solid but i cant find  the download for it. i found  the micro. .net program u have to dl that solid runs off of but cant find the main solid dl.

   

   if any 1 knows of a good anti cheat/ hack program that has a tutorial (indepth, unlike ci) please give me the link so i can get it.

   seems like at night time my server is a haven for the hackin freaks lol.

Best way to catch hackers is to spec them.........catch them.......Ban them...

   Most anti-cheats do NOTHING......

   for what i being reading u just forgot that to run CI and MAM u need upload to server side a few pk3 files and a few .cfg files.

well,DMW is the best with no doubt,the "problem" is the client side needed.

   so...

   

   we must be happy with CI and Foresight and otheres like to give a small but usefull hand wen whatching servers,untill someone make a more effective one.

With CI you have to upload the zzzzzzzzzzz_MoH_AdminMod_CI.pk3 to your server and depending if you have a windows or linux server you also need to upload the default.cfg, changeme.cfg. Read the instruction on what you have to do to configure ci.

Its a shame people have to be so cowardly really, because thats all they are - cowards - too afraid to lose so they resort to lame things. Haha, most are predictable too, i can beat many people using cheats (which makes them think i use them and they go accusing me lol), they forget - skill cannot be downloaded.

   theres no way to disable those cheats with coding the game?i really dont know as im not coder or modder,i just wanna this game free of cheating freaks,and theres no effective options out there unless u use clint side and thats mainly for wars.

Im afraid peeps are in the same boat, the best ones have been listed (yes i know peeps are too lazy to download a client but its the only 1 i would use).

   

   We have no plans to make an anticheat - if we did it would be along DMW`s lines where a client is needed.

theres a MOD named "Total-Control-Mod" that is a few .cfg files and it got a aimbot filtering,sharker detector etc...

   

   any one ever hear about it here?

   its a "anti-cheat" [it works] without a client side,maybe someone with great coding/modding skills can make a scanner only based on that.

   i dont know m8ts.i just get amazed how the MOH community dont do nothing to stop cheating.

Dark, there are tons of mods like this and they just stop a very little number of bugs in the game itself. It won't stop client-side hacks like wallhacks or aimbots.

Dont blame the modding community for a problem the designers and publishers created. Rant at EA not MRU. No one gets paid for their work here. It's hobby not a job.

Dark - the best most modders can do is to fix problems within the maps, there are various progs that can catch cheats (as you know) but its a neverending battle. The ONLY way you will have a clean server is to make them run a clientside prog like DMW does and even then that is only good until it is bypassed then it starts all over again. So your VERY mistaken that the MOH community is sitting around idle, there are a few peeps out there workin their asses off to make sure you get a good clean game. The problem as i see it is peeps wont run a clientside - i wonder why? Seems a lot more have things to hide than they let on.

i understand,and i know theres lot people working and making the best trying make this game better and under possiblities a cheat free game.

   

   the clint side problem is that no evry player know how install/use or even what DMW client is and that do not mean hes hiding whatsoever,so,the player try connect to server and its booted out becouse dont have the DMW client,he retrys enter and its booted again,well,the most that hapen is player quit try connect on that server.

   also,i only see DMW REALLY scanning during Clan Wars,not a normal day to fun,or otherwise u got a empty server..thats the main problem on client side.

   

   so,imagine one thing:

   

   someone with codding/scripting/modding skills pick a server only and develop somekind of scanner based on server side pk3 and a few .cfg files.

   i really dont know how this works but,for example a aimbot hook MUST activate something on server side to the player see trought walls and that stuff,so...theres No way to make "another hook" u know a"server side patch" to disable those hacks?

   another example,to activate "wambot" u need insert a console command in order to menu come up,well,there MUST be a way to say to console something like this: if u see a player sending this command [wambot command here] the player is banned somehow from a scanner on server.

   

   i dont know m8ts,sorry,just trying give some ideas to those that got the skills to do something.:blush

Dark we are all with u - we just wanna play the game and avoid the cheats/spoilers (and i aint found an online mp fps to match mohaa yet). I ran a server which i built up to a regularly full 24 tdm game and the bane of my life was the hacks. Its been taken over by a good pall Golden_Eagle and now it has a decent admin has a fighting chance of going from stregth to strength. Yes he uses the latest admin mods he can grab (backbone is admin pro folks)  - but at the end of the day - its the the guy in spec watching that makes the server Its admins that make servers playable

When people try to connect to a DMW scanned server and theyre kicked DMW gives them an info window where to download the client, also DMW and its client has been around a long time so i cant really believe people havent heard of it unless theyre completely new to the game.

   

   I know the servers stay empty when the client is enforced, ive faced the same problem, empty server or take a risk. I found after a while the people who really wanted a good cheat free game used it and came in, DMW has the option to let them join without the client, this gives you time to broadcast a server message that you intend to run it. Maybe even try a DMW only night.

   

   I know where your coming from as ive been there, its been a while since i used them myself so ive no idea of their current success or whether theyre still updated. I dont think a serverside one exists that can catch everything thats out there (or didnt last i looked). You can run a combo of anti-cheats but as to whether theyre effective you would have to judge.

   

   Other than that - anyone reading this have info that can give this guy and a lot of others some hope?

well from what i know Foresight is probably the best server-side anticheat. No program will ever catch anything. And Cobra, you do have an advantage. You know where you put that evil kill trigger.....:D
