Title: Demo making
Post by: Donder on November 27, 2005, 12:49:33 PM
Hi all,

Is it possible to make some recordings (Demo's) in Moh like you do in CoD2. For exmpl. If you wanna make a demo in CoD2 you can type /Record (title of demo), can it be made in MoH also?

   Thnx

Yes, the type that records vectors is possible, there is a prog to do it (forget its name), other than that theres Fraps,  and a few others (not tried by me personally)

Info from the MohRecord help file ...

   MOHAADemo v1.0

   This is a patched MOHAA.EXE ( Medal of Honor:Allied Assault v1.11 US )

that lets you record and watch MOHAA Demos. It works like in other Q3

   games:

   *** RECORDING A DEMO ***

   g_synchronousClients 1

   record demoname

   *** STOPPING RECORD ***

   stoprecord

   *** PLAYING A DEMO ***

   playdemo demoname

   (C) 2004 by Wombat

made due to disappointment by lack of developers' support

   THIS GAME IS NOT DEAD!

note it wont produce a vid u can view in WMP etc.

the alternatives tutorials are down:(.  There are also some cmds that starts recording by taking lots of pictures and then u must join them together. i cant remmeber the cmds ofr that either: i will post when i do rememebr.

the best way is to record ur screen though:

most probably use fraps.

the demo patch - cant view in WMP. only in mohaa

the in game cmds - slow fps and a hell of alot of work putting screenshots together

Fraps - I would say most use fraps.

other meathods are using ur vid out to another pc and recording on that, or on a tv etc , these dont impact fps at all.

I use Fraps to record ingame, then put the clip/s thru windows movie maker to add music or mix various clips, the quality is acceptable when finished and the filesize not too large.

Use google and find and download Fraps, install it and see which key records ingame then run it and load moh and test it
