oki, i start coding it like 2 months ago and i put it back a lil while i had important other things to do, but last 2 days i decided to get it out the way. I just wanted to rescript the admin.ini file. I also wanted wombat to check it over however he is in switzerland i think. I also wanted to add alot more. However, i decided to get it done, redo admin bit and release as is. I thought why add as much and keep ppl waiting, it was also playing on my mind. New things and fixes can always be added, easier to update.
use at your own risk, i dont have time to test everything but im pretty sure at least everything works to a degree...
The main reason for the update was 1.0 fix could be by passed with a new mohfill programme that basicaly thrashes and bombards the server. (see my picture), In the picture i pressed the button, god knows how many times... The server still seems to be running tho
Apart from an update to the actual Moh fill fix i added some more things, wombats admin mod also got in there.
Description:

Fix and enhancement for Medal of honor Allied Assault.
Contains:
* chat filter.
Works on a point based system. If the chatter used words in the chatfilter.cfg
then they will receive a point. If they match or exceed the points given as badchatlimit cvar.
They will be kicked from the server.

Ip's entered into the ipfilter.cfg will not be able to connect to the server.
* Name Filter.
Name's entered into the Namefilter.cfg will not be able to connect to the server.

again. i only have a compiled version for windows. i installed linux vwmware hwoever i cant get damn net sharing with windows so cant download a compiler and sompilers ive tried on windows to compile for linux get some stupid error, either i am compiling wrong or as the erropr says it still compiles as an AMD 64 windows executable or something.
There is 2 downloads. 1 is the windows fix, dll, read me and filter configs. The other contains the source code for windows and linux.
For windows AA, combined with bof fix and AP, your server should be prety stable

for admin_auth? your admins should add their admin_auth password to any config that gets executed. unnamedsoldier.cfg should be fine. it must be "SETU" not set ot seta. setu. i have maybe 5/6 configs that run but unnamedsolder.cfg should be ok.

just top let u know i had 2 tiny bugs.
1 bug was in the read me, i forgot the "admin_fraglimit" and another was with admin_restart. just fixing them and reuploading, but u dont have to worry if u dont use em. nothing serious. wont bother making it 2.1 or anything.

Cvars are working. I disabled chat also cursed and got kicked lol. So they are working except for the adminmod stuff.

Oki, i checked the ini, it gets the name correctly.
i think the problem MUST be the 69, in the stricmp() the 69 must chuck it off, i have to check whats going on. Try without the numbers and let me know.
edit: i tried without numbers, works..hm.SH*T! haha , arghhhhhhh. also i realised i cud probably do with a trimleft for the name incase they dont put the name after the =.thinkies? grr, was thinkin by releasing this, it wud save time.haha!

Is there a limit to the number of band ip's you can enter? Because we have over 500.

Im going to reinstall the game on the server tomorrow. Need to upload a fresh copy. I think I may have installed the boffix to the files I have on the box. I hope the fresh install helps. If not the other things work fine.

Im testing it out on my server.So far,I got some of the commands to work but not all.I have someome with the rights of 37,status,restart,and kick.He was able to restart but not kick. And with status,only one name and ip showed up.
I had me as a 4096, (super admin) but didnt work.Then changed it to 16383,and everything I tried so far worked eccept status,only one name and ip showed up.
Just a note,something I found in the readme for unbanning an ip,the command says admin_removedip <ip>,I tried that and it didnt work,so I tried admin_removeip <ip> and that DID work.
Over all,I think this is a great mod and is just what my clan needs.I realy like the chat filter and the hard ban you can put on ips.I'll do some more testing and let you know what I find.

I tested this on two of our servers and they restart on the end of our map rotations
has anybody got this problem.
When you ban someone in game,what file does it get writen to? I tried logging on the server without entering the setu admin_auth password and got myself banned.I've deleted all the mohfill files and uploaded a stock game86.dll file but im still banned.

The fgameded.so compiled now loads in mohaa and thats all i have tested. i dont have a linux server and dont have a linux mohaa client to test agaisnt the linux server on here , yep,, #1 tmt post from linux! omg, yep, linux sucks :D.
Not tested at all, so really beta, code not tested at all, NOTHING is tested! Please dont blame me for any problems..etcetc...use at your own risk etc.

All the features are back in!

I updated the SVN repo to the latest version. I had to recode the memory management and now it works like a charm in windows. I wasn't really able to test it in Linux (I could only check if it crashes or not - and it didn't, so it seems it's OK :)), though.
So, I've got a little request for Linux server owners: could someone use this build:

Is there any chance of making the banned ip' higher then 200. I have alot of ip's in my autokick. If you make any more changes can this be 1 of them. I do not know much about programing and compiling or I would do it myself. Thanks for the great fix.

Come to think of it, I can't see why the Linux build shouldn't work, provided that both w32 and Linux builds now use the same code (which has replaced the previously problematic one) and the windows one works like a charm.
I have tried your one rookie, the server crashes when I try and connect to the server. that log I posted was from rookie's patch. I will do that elgan and get logs for both patches, yours and rookie's.

When the second admin tries to ban someone, he get kicked (not banned) instead of the banned player.
That's very interesting. Unfortunately I don't really have any means of testing different than localhost, some bugs may go unnoticed. I'll try and debug the ClientConnect function, maybe I'll trace the thing down.
And besides, don't set logfile to 1, but to 2 or 3. 1 will set the log to be buffered and written out only at game exit, which means it won't be written if the game crashes.

I suppose there are a lot of bugs lurking in all the stricmp code, the order of the arguments makes a HUGE difference.

Whoa, that's a bug, it searches for admins.ini but prints it can't find admins.cfg.

I also figured that using the Quake 3 implementation of stricmp might not be the wisest idea. Also, glibc has a function that works exactly the same - strcasecmp. Made an #ifdef to #define the appropriate function instead. :)</EDIT>

Dont knwo whats up with crash on connect, have to go through and check it ii guess, it dont happen for me its so weird, This fact tho, that it only happens on remote may mean its a problem when looking though checking players.
i was about to go through it when i decided to give SH a bash. was looking at SH, the exports seem to be fine. tho the imports struct needs mroe and therefore is wrong. SO when i do things it crashes or causes problems. I tried logging the size to wor it out but i dont really know how to get the individual functions. SO ill talk with wombat see if he has any time to help me. SH might work then.

Today, I logged onto my server using the setu admin_auth password, ( I am the only one set up with a password right now in the admin.cfg, no other clan members are in there, just me ) I also logged in with the server private slot password. One of my members that was in a private slot, also had admin powers.It showed up in his console after I joined the server. He was able to get status, restart the map, and accessed the chatfilterlist. He was in slot 0, and I was in slot 1. This is what I have at the bottom of my admin.cfg.

What i did notice is when i tested it on ffa/tdm map crash, but not on objective maybe cause of the 5min restart on objective.
I'll keep testing on objective but all seems ok on objective. thx again Elgan for your work.

I tested it on teamdeath match server with 5 maps 15min each about 3 rotations no mods and it didnt restart this time odd :con
With two admins in there, we both did commands and no restart of server :con but if you do admin_status it only gets two names sometines 1 and sometines it wont show there ip#. like stated in this topic somewhere I'll go test it with mods this time
were they dm or obj maps?
on object-maps theres no restart of server.
It was tdm-maps that my server would do a restart, i tried it with no mods and it didnt do no restart.
I just got home so 'ill go try it with mods and see if it acts up again.
Hi, we have got the same problem. Today i had to remove the mohaa fillfix (on windows) because the server keep crashing after a couple of maps and then restarts. We only play TDM map and have ckr1.1 installed. Thats it. What we do have is an autokick and dmw on the server. One time tonight i saw the complete server filled up with "//RCON" all the slots were filled :con but i dont know that has something to do with this. I cant check the log either because its overwriten every time the server restarts.

The fix does crash in obj mode. The crashes happen on map changes and clientkick. The clientkick I seen from maxping set in server cfg also using rcon to clientkick. This is on windows opsys.

The problem with this code is it hardcodes its config files e.g.

This as mentioned breaks under a GSP enviroment which has one install and uses the command line options to run multiple servers from said install i.e. correctly setting fs_userpath, fs_game etc.
Well u could edit the code to make it load the file from the same folder its in.
but, if multiple servers are using the same folder as its game dir. How can each server be individual? They would all be the same and any custom stuff someone wanted, Would make all the servers change. Also im not sure if the path cvars work. Not in windows, not sure about linux. Have to try,
BTW, under Linux the fgameded.so file is in the root MoHAA directory (same as where the main executable is), not in main subdirectory. You couldn't have it work with different fs_game settings anyway.

same problem... i run mods and admin pro and autokick and ci but when i uploaded the mohaafill mod the servers started crashing randomly and moreso on the custom maps servers...i am now looking to see if it is a certian time or action that crashes it...if i figure it out ill let ya know...nice mod man

i agree i love the mod...it is the best i have seen around so far but it really needs to quit crashing the servers....i have 7 servers running with diffrent mods and one stock and it crashes them all...im currently running one from my desk top completly stock to see what happens and see what it logs....this is in my cfg also

i also crashed on map change...i was playing and changing maps fine ...but when it changed map with me in spectate it crashed
might just be when an admin is in spectate

Ok here is about 2 of the dumbest question you'll hear in a long time....lol. 1st I finlley got this thing to work on the server and it works great. Along with the admin pro thing now I really don't need the CI program running,which with me being on dail up thats worth all the head scratching this old man has been doing:satisfied
ok now for the stupid questions, 1) do I need to have all that on my computer too? or just on the server.
and 2) I don't need that admin rcon menu pk3 on the server either do I? The reason I'm asking is I got everything working great after 2 days of cussing, and I have everything in both places on the server and my computer and I don't want to mess it up again.:( I would like to remove what I don't need, I set all the things to on or off in the settings folder that I'll use, the weapons limiter...spawn protect...the force skins thing...is all I'm useing. So do I even need the admin pro rcon menu?
oh yeah, I edited the ubersound(?) scr to remove all those taunts(really hate it when some dip stick starts saying "yes sir" 50 times in a row.) that wont mess with your mods will it?
ooops...lol 1 more thing...the cvar thing that sets the skins...can anti cheat cvars be added to that ?

1) just on the server (i wouldnt use this patch if i were you because it is still buggy....)
2) No you dont need the menu on the server only at home
3) For admin pro you only need admin-pro.pk3 and the settings folder on the server, thats it
The menu makes life easier, cause you dont have to use console. I dont use the menu though

When someone does that 50 times, i warn him twice, after that i unbind his taunt key :-D

I put the fix on my windows server yesterday and it crashed it several times. Something is wrong with the game86.dll file that you put on there.
was bored, so i did some testing again i got this at the end of my log [sea]g_scoreboardpicover[/sea] may not mean nothing.
I was bored again and tried testing the fix again. I started our private server from 12:00pm PST its now 6:14pm PST with out a crash. I have 11 admins in the list two head admins aand nine with just kicking powers. The only mod we have is crowkings realism mod. I can do all in the list kick,ban,add names,add to chatfilter. When i added all the admins to the list problems started looks like i cant unban names or ips i was able to do this with just my name in the list thou i can still ban and add names. Also if your in the server for a while the admin_commands stop working i have to go out the server and reconnect. I'll keep you all posted on this.
BTW: I'm testing it on a window server.
EDIT: Its been over 24 hours and the server has not crashed.
About the unban stuff i gave me the wrong rights.

(I'm not the server admin so I don't have rcon.. the real admin gave me rights through admin.ini / admin.cfg)

Edit: I've tried adding the commands to my unnamedsoldier.cfg and my foresight.cfg
After I connect to mohaa, my unnamedsoldier.cfg removes the commands I just placed there (though they are still there after I saved the file and re-opened it)
These are the commands I tried/placed below my cvar list:

setu "admin_auth" "test"
seta admin_auth "test"
seta "admin_auth" "test"
(test being the password)
Yet in game it still shows no effect. (I'm running DMW (Anti-Cheat) along with it)
