Title: Need Help With Map Rotation
Post by: berserker on September 03, 2006, 03:18:06 PM
Hello All,

I have downlaoded the map for mohaa called (Battlefield) it comes with useable flak 88 cannons.

But I'm having a major problem with the map rotation.

This is what i got "dm/dm_battlefield" it works right when i start a dedicated server off of my pc, but when i put the rcon command or map rotation on my rented server it wont work, it crashes right before the map.

Any ideas would be weel appreciated, this is driving me crazy.

When i use rcon through hslw, it just says "Cannot find dm/dm_battlefield.bsp"

This is a great map, i have used it years ago when i was in clan.

   Thanks

Yes, I did..LOL Not s stupid question though, lol

I deleted it, and reinstalled it..

I have tried every name for that map and no luck.

The way i was taught was to open up the pk3 file, and look at the name of the bsp, thats what you use for your rotation.

   I have tried:

this is while im in rcon:

   map dm/dm_battlefield

   map dm_battlefield

   map dm/mohdm_battlefield

   No luck

If i give any of you the link to download would you check it out for me PLEASE!!!

   Battlefield Map

This is a  awesome map, i even tried to e-mail the creator of the map no luck.

Plus the pk3 is named user_ac_Battlefield.pk3, something like that...

But on my dedicated it doesn't, while in rotation, it crashes as its changing to battlefield.

This link works i tried it at work on numerous pc's.

   This is driving me crazy.

Map loads for me but i dont see any usable flak88s (and i added the pk3 as suggested), anyway add this to server rotation ... dm/AC_Battlefield

   or rcon map maps/dm/AC_Battlefield

I am having a somewhat more primitive issue with map rotation; i am running an FFA/DM rotation but i am trying to get some of the maps to run as TDM. Any ideas? I was also wondering how to get one of the maps in rotation to run for 5 minutes when the rest of the maps in rotation run for 10. Thanks

For timelimit open up map script and add this

   setcvar "timelimit" "12"

   for whatever timelimit you wish......

   For some FFA then TDM.....

Not tried it but try this

   setcvar "g_gametype" "1"  //for FFA

   setcvar "g_gametype" "2" //for TDM

also add them to map script

up at top next to info cvars

setcvar "timelimit" "20"  add that where the scoreboars messages go, edit the 20

setcvar "g_gametype" "2" should start it as tdm

Youll find this in each script file ... setcvar "g_scoreboardpic" "mohdm2", you can change the path like this setcvar "g_scoreboardpic" "textures/mohmenu/and choose a pic from this folder". It has to be a pic from moh  if you want others to see it
