With <strong><em>halloween</em></strong> Coming up its time peeps started making a nice scary map/mod should they wish to win a prize <img class="aux smiley" src="./images/smilies/smile.gif" alt=":)" />

   

   Heres what you need to do (client or serverside) ...

   

   Find/use a good size building/whatever in a map and make some scary shit in each room/area via triggers or whatever you have at your disposal, the scene/setting/ooh factor/ etc will be the most judged, basically a haunted House <img class="aux smiley" src="./images/smilies/smile.gif" alt=":)" />

   

   If you have ideas for a good prize then speak freely, if not i have 1 more Military Cross medal  <img class="aux smiley" src="./images/smilies/tongue.gif" alt=":P" />

   

   (will post anywhere etc etc)

   Unreal_Demon's unrealmod had 'ghosts' in the church in destroyed village

Well the whole object of the competition guys is to see what you can come up with personally so i cant give ideas to you, you can of course discuss them yourselves - choice is yours

   

   It should be your own work tho and not someone elses thats modified a bit :O_o

   

   Scary dude u made there Salombo, lets see what u got this time around

   

   

   You are free to ask for help in getting your mod/thingy working too should you need help with say some script or getting something into the game etc, thats understandable

   cobs, haven't read through the whole thread yet but what about running a server with say...the top 3-5 ''scary'' maps on halloween ? i'm sure mohaafiles would throw up an announcement the week before with downloads for a big SFX Scary Map Pak.

   

   halloween is a great holiday. there's nothing like seeing the expression when one of the neighborhood kids bite into a caramel coated onion.

I thourght this obvious but apperantly not,

   

   Get the door to slaw shut as soon as the player walks in, As the door closes all the lights go off and the player recives a torch maybe or has to find the switch?!, throughout have screaming (dont think thats serverside), and then the classic moving floors with weird eyes in them and eyes in the painting (eyes could be scaled down lights? and im not sure about how you would break the floor open, so once again not sure its serverside.)

umm some ideas i think are good is:

   

   Map: The Hunt

   Mod: Server-Side

   

   Ghosts Coming Up From Ground.

   Fogs Around On The Ground Really Thick.

   Little Like Midget Bots.

   Thunder and heavy rain.

   try and make axis sniper house look a bit like freddys house.

   fireworks in the sky

   dead people everywhere.

   ghosts noices

   some blown up tanks

   just add random things you would see and image in a horror movie

   

   

   

   

   lol most off these things are prob impossible lol i dont know but these are just ideas but if someone pulled something off like these it would be a killer ace mod.

for us married modders...........make a skin of your ex . only problem is while it's scary, the enjoyment of shooting the ai outweighs the fear.

In the File you will also be able to check 4 player skins courtesy of mr Salombo; skins are characters from the movie.

   There are also some weapon models, courtesy of mr mainframe and part of the MW mod. This is not the final release, so i will appreciate all of you,  the MRU community to beta test, hence the lack of readme and the possible glitches/bugs, since this map was made in a very short period of time.

   congrats for the gametype Rookie, we tested it yesterday with cob and was real fun, original too. Its worth checking and including in the MRU downloads. As i said i been the whole day out, but i am here if anyone wants to join the server for some fun.

i was joshing, sir.

thinks its time again for this time of year to do another halloween map. a horror mod/server side that people can play. i have found that alot of people dont like downloading custom maps. i was runnig silent hill for about 2 months and everytime we came across that map in rotation everybody would get kicked out cuz they dont have the maps. i even made a simple download that automatically unzipeed to the main folder but people must be lazy. so a server side mod/map like gewitter nite time with black cats and lit up pumpkins with horror sounds. or  how bout a corn field? a maze corn filed sounds frickin awesome. i would play that map on my server wether people downloaded it or not. but must be nitetime with scarecrows and broken down wagon rides. with crows sitting on stalks watching you going down the hollow trail not knowing what evil lerks waiting at the other end. i cant do maps but i can do blood mods or custom compass. a orange blood mod would go great with the map.

   I dunno I got my map done in 2 weeks.  Even though it wasn't very big it has a lot to offer.
