Well just updated the christmas tree script.

   

   was going to add the beamball, so u can have little shiney balls of beam and even more lag and even less edicts. anyway.

   elgan i downloaded this fix you posted in downloads area.

   do i just pop it in my linux server in mainta ?.as it is

   and what will it fix ? theres no info with it as to what to do with it or what its going to fix.

   

   i think bof means buffer over flow ? thanks.

buffer over flow, just a method for crashing servers. this is a christmas tree thread?

lol its ok, np, but the bof is just a exploit, cant really say anything more if u dont know what a bof is.

Hello I got your christmas mod, but have trouble spawning it I have the night mod working, so I'm putting it in the right place, but I cant seem to spawn a tree.  I use exec christmas.scr::tree ( -992.33 -2901.28 -90 ) (with my coords), but the map doesnt want to load.  I put the christmas.pk3 in the main folder.

   

   Then I try using the method exec christmas.scr::tree ( coords ) ( angle ) ( tree pattern file ), and it still doesnt want to work.  Am I suppose to edit something int he tree.txt to create my tree?

do u get no free editcns error? sounds to me like u already have stuff spawned in ur map.

   

   EDIT the pattern file. tree.txt and make the pattern of the tree alot less impact on the server/ so less coronas and no lights are spawned.

seeming as christmas is on soe peoples minds *yeah right*.  thought id bump this, as i cant think of any od ideas for xmas, maybe some od changes?

i love that tree elgan .

   just it was a weebit laggy ;) but very nice to see .

   hope the next is going to be just as fancy , but less lag ;) so it can be on more maps for peeps to see ! .
