   Cubus Castle

I like all the maps, all have their own special touch to it. Really nice lighting in krugers map with al the little gadjet in it. GenCobra's mod really spooky and good with the theme, like also bdbodger with the coffins and the special nades. The rest also very nice....rammstein yeah But my vote goes to Gen Cobra's Haunted Castle because it followed mostly the theme in my opinion.

ok first of all a big congratulations for all entries. This year the mods have been of great quality wich made my desicion at least very though, and made an excellent competition. I have to say well done to all of you, the maps and mods are greatly done and first quality. A big well done from Krugy to all of you guys.

   

   As I have to vote for one, i would love to vote for 2 or 3, but as i have to say one, i have to say that cubus map is and excellent piece of work. great brushwork, and theres only a texture bug or 2, a missing door texture but its an extremely great map. A piece of art-work. I cant imagine the time he spent with that map but i bet there are a few months of work there. The same with GenCobras Castle. Great fun and originallity. (love the van) Aquamarin has a very nice bruswork too, a little monochromatic texturing, but nice brushwork. Bodgers mod is really fun, with all those ais coming out of the coffing etc, great fun indeed.

   Well, of them are great , but I have to recognize that Arenas Hellraiser, Judges map, its really original, and fun to play. Lots of posibilities, great FPS, nice texturing and ambience, and he did made the map for the contest in around 10 days, so he made a really great effort to made it to deadline. As I said, i wish i could vote for more than one guys, but i have to decide on one, so my vote goes to Hellraiser Arena.

missing door texture???????? maybe that stupid door from the castle-mainbuilding to the bridge.....

   

   hmm. it seems to me, that texture is only in germany avaible, because i installed on 3 pc's two different sh-cd's, originally purchased in german technical-supermarket and no error on testing in home-lanwork.

   maybe you can tell me the name of this shader/file by checking console. so i can try to fix it for futher work.

   

   about your flowers for brushwork........ not to me. basicly this map is created by berry and was part of our mod "Das Ende". but not included........... i hope, this dosen't matter anyway......

   

   

   storm told me about this tex by testing this map in original ambient some weeks ago!

I must say the turnout and quality of this year's contest is way up there. Congrats all for a fantastic job. And all done in a record time.

   

   My vote goes to BdBodger's Frankenstein Halloween Mod. It's a great Halloween Themed Mod. All the elements are there. If it was a map contest only ... maybe not :blush. But the theme was Halloween. The sounds effects, music, hidden surprises ... I loved it.

   

   Again, a big shout to all on the great work submitted.

This year is a collection of some magnificant maps..and is hard to pick a favorite...

   

   

   I love both Cubis Castle and Cobra's Haunted castle.

   Cubis is wonderful architecture, but as a viable playing map..it would be way too big. Kudos for a very nice ambience.

   

   but on the other hand..Haunted castle is a great playing map with as little as 4 players. It has all the elements of

   design, round-about-play, sounds, custom textures, boundiful amount of scripting, halloweeny thingys and some item that amazed me..like closing in metal pinchers that kill you if you lolligag around the hallway too long.

   

   my vote for Cobra's Haunted Castle.

I had a look a go on all the maps, and my vote goes to Judge for the hellraiser Loved Cobra's castle to, which came a close 2nd for me

Real beauties and some good thought went into them all

Let me get my vote in before you close the door. I have to vote for my favorite one being CMC Castle. The other maps are brilliantly done, but for novelty and straight up playing fun Castle takes the cake. My congratulations to all of you and a big thanks for all your hard work.

   Next time i make a Pumpkin-Castle ( Kürbis-Schloß )! *lol*

   No - my Vote goes to Cubus - he´s my favorite Artist. His Castle had the ambience i like most.

   It was no easy decision for me, but it is my finaly decision!

Everyone of this years maps are fantastic..Why not call it all a tie and give them all a medal..they deserve it as from what I've have seen..these maps are in the top 10 percent of customs map I've seen released in the last 2 years..

   This just shows that some of the very best mappers left in mohaa live here!

i think its been a brillant contest gone down a treat.

   what ive got out of the contest is a now modified arena hellraiser map for a clan called

   the cenobite warriors its now there mascot map.

   So im just happy my map went to a good home.

   

   As for the medal side of the contest i dont think ill be needing anymore medals ive earned a few already

   in my life.
