Title: stand alone mod

well today i was a bit surprised to find a standalone game using the quake3 engine

   the mod is called iourbanterror

   dont know if any1 has heard of this before

   well anyways i uploaded it to see what it was all about and couldnt beleive the

   game worked fine.

   so now what my question is why hasnt this been done for players before using the

   mohaa game engine i know its the same engine in ways.

   the mod had around 10 maps and 6 game types download was around 531mbs

   which i thought wasnt bad for a stand alone game.

   it was a net mod only no single player that i have found full server setup the lot come on ppl can this be done for mohaa where we could design our very own standalone

   game and get some1 like dmw to back it so dmw is within the download of the standalone

   ???

   im sure some1 must know if this is possible also is there any game programmers within the community?

because quake3 is open source and mohaa isnt just pure quake3.

   

   The source is not there to recompile an mohaa exe and dll to release with content. If u wanted a stand alone TC, u wud have to ship it with mohaa.exe and dlls, which all the ppl prob have already. if u did tho, u cud add alot more programmed features. wrappers, laoders etc

   

   Also,they sorta do, total conversions, could be made to be more like standalone mods. like MW has a launcher thing.

It would be nice to increase the bandwidth Mohaa can use and get rid of some of the other serious restrictions we are confined to
