For one of my uni assignment iv got make a few spoof trailers of war games that's completely insensitive,
Its supposed to be highlighting to fact a lot of games based on "real" war claim to be realistic or historical accurate, but simulate the truth for entertainment stake.
Here's an example of what I mean:
A game based on the world trade center where you fly a fighter jet and can shoot down the airliner to save the day. The only realism the designer attempts is the scenery and character, filling the building with game characters of real people that died that day in the building.
Obviously this would be pretty offensive right? Theirs games similar but not as extreme as this based on real wars happening now where people are dieing and then we play them for entertainment is this ok?
Ok don't answer that is just supposed to make u think about it, I know its not the most potent of ethical debates but its supposed to make games designers think about what they put in game based on real events.
Basically I am going to making similar videos more and more ridiculous as I go on. But I am having problems, Firstly I need ACTORS (players) to help me, and secondly a SERVER as I cant run one through the uni network as no one can join for some reason. I have a few mods for the game trailers too that's why i cant just use a normal server.
The first video is based on the current iraq situation-
One team must capture BBC reporters, torture and make ransom videos, while the other team much free them.

well theres a bit to do hopefully i can do one of the trailers tuesday at some point, then maybe another one next week.
