Hi,

   

   Over the last week i have been making a new type of dog! a player useable one. ;)

   

   The dogs have full animation and act just like ai dogs apart from the player is in control.

   

   There are a few vars for the dog:

   

   weapon damage (each wep is setable), dogs allowed, dogs lights, dog health and dog bite damage.

   

   Cvars for dog trigger:

   

   trig light & trig model

   Yes, you are the Dog!!, you can hunt people, hide and stalk them, and of course bite and kill them!

   

   I kid you not, when you hear their noises and you know its player controlled it is scary, be afraid, be very afraid!!

   

   I have never seen a sneakier animal!

   

   The {SFX} Smart Hound has arrived :)

   

   This mod will be running on our server as of tonight or tommorrow.

Its currently running on mohdm1, but there are no sounds at the moment due to a serverside problem...

dont know if you already know this but when your a dog the mines dont blow you up also dogs cant kill dogs

   I'll add dog on dog killing ability and killable by explosions with the next version in a few days aswell as adding it to more maps.

   oh yeah how many bites do u have to do to kill your enamy? and can the allies access the dog asswel?

Server now as a revised/updated version which runs alot smoother. ran it with a high amount and it ran as good as 3 a side.

   

   The bite damage at the moment is now set to 34 if i remember but everything is adjustable on the fly so no restarting is needed to up the damage etc. (once i find a good setting for the variables i'll default them to it)

   

   I done a fix for the mines and have tested it and it works fine, i'll add it in with a few more tweaks sometime lata on.

   

   To get the best affect you really need a dog sound fix in your main, if i have time today i'll pop one in the download section. (will only be 50kb so no worrys about D/L time)

   

   Also i'll add it to a larger range of maps now i know its fully reliable. ;)

   

   Public release will be out as soon as {sfx} have hosted the mod for abit, and should contain some extra features.

   

   Playing as a dog takes practice as many people dont seem to think they have bitten anyone, if you have the sound added you'll hear the bites, if you dont have sound you can watch your enemy as you bite and you will see them do a little jerk meaning a bite as made contact.

   

   Anyone finds a fault or bug please tell.

   dogs get kills for killing players + dogs

nice looking dog mods...  I am runninga dog mod on my server as well.. If you could, could you send me your copy of the program. It would be nice to be able to compate the two. Came on your server and seen your dogs, there just the same as bd's dmdogs, not playerusable ones.

   

   As far as i know i am the only person to make playerusable dogs.

   

   Anyway thanks for the offer but i dont need to see your code or bd's code, i have that type in my admin menu already.

lmao, i had them sniffing but it was pretty useless, so removed it.

   

   As far as i know its not possible to change the running speed of one player only, jump is now 100 units for a dog were as players can jump 54.

   

   Seems ok ingame. :)

I've tried:

   local.PLAYER time?  cant see it working as TIME is set for a model to set its time to travel from point A to point B

   

   player doesnt have a point A and point B set.

   Thats why u see when lagged out ur self moving back and forth . Cos the gamne preicts where ur going to then err does stuff.

you ight want to not let the dog use the mg at all.. today i was on the server and racked up 48 kills on the mg...AS A DOG :D :D :D :p :p

   Still.. shouldnt you put triggers or something on the mg's soz the dogs cant use them at all?

Well its not for Spearhead m8, AA only. (states and code is wrong for SH)

   

   I will be doing a SH version after the latest project is done.

   

   All my mods are for AA as i find it better to work with and what SH as as extra's we just put in AA. ;)
