hey i made a new gametype. However i need proper testing. It works like so:

   

   There is a bomb! As usual. similar to countdown, survivour and tthe touch/tag/tig/it game you play as a child.

   

   A player is chosen at random at the start. He then must pass the "choseness" to another player before the timer reaches 0. If it does. the touched at that point will explode! The player/team with least deaths wins! Round ends when server timelimit runs out.

   

   Weapons are removed. It could grow to include them somehow. progress intoa  virus gametype.

   

   1 cvar touch_time set at 02:00 to start with.

   PLease if anyone tests it, let me know how they like it.

   

   to use exec from any map or global file like dmprecache after prespawn.

oh yeah, press and hold use for a secont to pass to another player.

   

   u can also set a light on in the script , see u know who is "it"

   but as its in nether AA or SH,BT threads ! will it work for them all ? .

you rock m8 ;) , i will test it soon and see if any of the clan servers want to test it over the next couple of days .

   will give ip if any do test it ;) thanks and like cobra says keep them new gametypes coming ! .

i will test this coming sunday on our custommap night, usually with 15 ppl so its a good test.

   btw in touch.scr u dont want to change everything, i put in red what can be changed and it wont breake the mod. Also a lil more info about each.

   hope that helps any that wish to mess about. note dm respawning, adding a light changes it a little.   With dmrespanwing set 0, it will in theory be a little like survivour or an elimination game.

   Edit: was told the zip was also corrupt for people. Had this problem before. Strange. No matter which programme i use, pakscape, rar, zip. ace. Some had it corrupt and some didnt. It's interesting. (to me) The zip by runt is 7.51KB where mine is 7.33 KB.

   

   The zip above was created by Runt. Hope it works for you guys.

   

   let me know about the mod too. It seemed to run pretty smooth. Gave me some ideas, might rebuild survivour. That at times didnt run as smooth as this seems to. Also ty to snake/jv for the idea on spawn detection. Works really well

Mame it with weapons so if touchet shoots someone the shot guy is touched and second thing make it with silencedpistols for untouched and garand or mg for touched so untouched will have to hide. Another thing u could add would be the bushes that hides players within 50 spawned around the area but if touched gets within 100 of the bush the hidden player is showed :D

server 81.18.173.70:12202 its a 12 slots server . spearhead

   

   the server above is a clan server running the mod ,,,, 2 maps to test with dm1 & dm2 to start with .

   

   some ideas when we tested ,,,, freeze the new player carrying the flame for a short time to give the player who's just past it over ! time to run away ? 2,3sec's would be cool .

   

   pistols , with or without amo ? , just to add fun when playing .

   sound when last 10sec's on time is running out .

   

   more info for players joining when game has started !!!!!!! lots of players were coming ;) i spent most my time typing out game rules .

   

   we loved it , was fun seeing players running after each other ;) .

   

   i found player that have very low ping very hard to catch if not at all lol .

   would it be possible to give flaming player a slit increase of speed when running ? , not to much ! just a bit .

Hi Elgan,

   

   I cant get the person to light up somehow, and then its very diff to know who is the "choseness".

   Ppl dont get the gametype then, maybe its an idea to attach a bomb to there arm just like the anticamp mod bomb. Then its clear who has the "choseness".

   to make the player light up. open the touch.scr in notepad and set

   

    level.touched_light = 1

   

   

   Do people want a bomb added? want light? bomb adding etc cvard?

   

   can add a rules hud print . This would be a good idea.

   

   Can also add so the chosenone gets a little or less speed gain cvard?

   

   and can also make the chosen one spin or get disorientated /freeze for 1 or 2 cvard seconds?

   

   what do people wish? want me to carry on? i dont have much/at all time really now, not difficult things to add/change tho. let me know. can build betas and send them to people who want them.

   cant do this tho, Dont believe the detection is good enough for basing a game type on it.

its all good .

   they still have it on the server and survivor too in ffa .

   

   if i had to choose between torch and survivor being developed ! i would say do survivor first .

   survivor seems to have more game play to it , but the torch game would also be as good as survivor ! after the developed version is done  :) its up to you elgan ! .

   

   new or developed games are always welcome ! .

Hi,

   

   I did the "level.touched_light = 1" but it didnt seem to work, jade does it work for you? Maybe something is conflicting.

   But maybe a bomb attached to his arm should work to. And the spinning idea i nice to, so you can run away easily.
