Title: Site Downtime
Post by: Cobra {sfx} on April 25, 2008, 02:49:49 PM
MRU has suffered some downtime this week due to this from Hostingplex ...

server5.hostingplex.com went down at 11:19am this morning as a result of an out-of-memory situation.

The server is now back online after a reboot and filesystem check.

This server has 6GB of ram which is a considerable amount given that it has less than 1000 clients hosted on it. We are looking for the user that caused this outage and will move them off the server.

The issue with server5 has happened again and we are investigating and it will be online shortly.

   The server is back online.

server5 has approximately 2000GB of storage space (2TB) so rebooting/file-system checks can take quite some time.

Same thing happen to me with hostingplex on their server9. I got horrible support from them. After a few emails they blamed my site for the problem. Security issues they said at the time. Thats why I am leaving them for a new host next week. You will see their support sucks lol Good luck :p
