Title: Mohaa Menu Editor
Post by: bdbodger on May 01, 2008, 10:50:20 AM
This is a little menu editor I did for the Total Assult mod . It can load stock menus if you extract all the right files . It wasn't included and I can't see an update ever being released so I thought you might like to try it out . Your better off with menus created by this editor but can load other menus it's just that it is not as forgiving as mohaa is with menu errors . You start off with just a grey 320x240 menu and adjust the settings from there .Left click and drag to create a new menu item.  You should know how to create a menu as well . I'll be around at answer questions though . Requires the .net framework 2.0

I guess I should mention some of the shortcuts . Alt + left mouse button outside of a menu item and dragging will adjust it's size . Hold the control key down and select several menu items to drag as a group . Right click for a context menu . In the above photo the background of the sigs has alpha set to 0 and a tga image applied . More info to come .

hey bodger.... i saw some month ago a screenshot from this tool, but didnt find it for download.

i personal use the fakk-menu-editor, which works fine for all moh-menues (AA, SH, BT and well PA), but it didn't show textures during editing, only frames...... i will try this

Just don't forget you need the .net framework for it since it was written in Visual Basic .net

   [yellow].net Framework 2.0[/yellow]

Place all the relevant files with the same file path in the same folder as the menu editor. Textures/Shaders/URC/Fonts

If you use the preferences menu item and set the basepath for example C:Program FilesEA GAMESMOHAAmain or c:MYpath then the scripts textures and ui directories need to be extracted to that directory so you will have a c:MYpathui directory a c:MYpathtextures directory etc etc same directories as in MOHAAmain if you where to extract the files from the pk3's Salombo does not show a ui directory there should be one . You can use the same directory as you put the editor and set the basepath in the preferences . The Devil.NET.dll is an image library that allows the program to use .tga images and should be in the same directory as the editor . It is a wrapper for the Devil.dll . The fonts and gfx directories are needed when you use the font creater . It uses the fontgen tool from the Fakk 2 tools and is Mohaa compatable . The font tool uses windows fonts and creates game fonts from them . Part of the fontgen tool that was not something I designed and you will have to play with the sizes .The top part of the font tool in the editor is to choose a game font and then a windows font that is fairly close to what it will look like in the game . That is for you to get a better idea in the editor of what the final menu will look like in the game so adjust that to your liking . The bottom part is for creating new game fonts . There is no way to get the actual game fonts into the editor all you can do is set it up to be as close as you can get with a windows font or just do like the game does and use images instead for some of the static items not linked to cvars etc .
