Since I'm very much into realistic tactical shooters lately (I'm addicted to
True Combat Elite (it's free!),
Project Reality and Armed Assault), I thought MoHAA could also use this kind of gameplay, without changing much of the game's look and feel. This mod is fruit of a few weeks of on and off work in spare time (i.e. when I was frustrated by problems when working on OpenMoHAA :P) and is at an early development stage, but already presents some substantial features.

Well, enough for some public testing, anyway.
And no, this is not just ironsights. There's also some weapon accuracy tweaking, it's much more realistic now.
Currently the mod is half-server side. I.e. everything apart from the ironsights works even on stock (unmodded) clients. Even the stock clients don't have the crosshair - it only appears when they enter the aiming mode (modded clients will get their ironsights instead). So even peeps without the mod can join the fun.

yeah , i loved the no crosshair and ironsights; one of the best features of realism, imo.
We discussed using it some time ago, in total assault, but finally we didnt add it to beta of the mod.

Thanks, guys, that's just the beginning.

There will be a new gametype that will (hopefully) take advantage of the new way of fighting and some other stuff I don't want to talk about just yet. What I can say is that I have a plan how to turn Omaha from a lame, rarely played sniperfest map into an intense assault level!

No it's not. It's a question of aligning the models' rotation by fractions of degrees, and you have to do that separately for every weapon.
I may make a version crafted specially for Modern Warfare, though.
