GLW_StartOpenGL() - could not load OpenGL subsystem
installed windows SP3 last night . then ran mohaa for the first time since, this morning .
googled the problem and found this old thread...
http://www.techspot.com/vb/topic16973.html seems a variety of issues can cause this problem . hoping i can find the one that's causing mine since this cpu currently doesn't have a ''seperate'' video card and the ''update your video card driver'' solution won't work for me .
i'm working off the default intel 82865G graphics controller .
getting ready to system recovery .
everytime i bumped into that problem it was fixed updating the vid card drivers. No ide but maybe download opengl again before recovery.
lol, its so funny. I had it with breaktrough wanne know how i solved it ? used a hacked opengl ... (i dont even have openGL now btw lol!)
yeah I think something like that should do. Let me know what happened
tell you what, looking more and more like i'm going to restore but as i stated over at .map, i'm terrified being i don't have XP install disc .
have you tried with opengl yet?
not quite sure what i'd do with it, sir .
is there an english version, kruger ?
hayup .
maybe the directx is not right for your card ! or drivers ? .
i never need to go above dx9 for my card , newer drivers may need a higher version of dx9 , but my cards only will go upto dx9 so i keep to my card not my updates .
just a idea that could help

.
jade, i'm working off the default intel plug and play video driver (ie. the one that simply comes with any cpu) to which i already attempted to update but none were found . all the mohaa problems started the first time i attempted to run mohaa.exe after i installed the cursed SP3 .
o ic .
well you can try a system rollback or a system restore point , and goto before the problems started maybe .
I would uninstall Mohaa, delete the mohaa registry entry and reinstall mohaa.
pkm:
default intel 82865G graphics controller
Uggg. I have the default intel card on my laptop and had to do the uninstall reinstall thing, but it still wouldn't work unless I deleted the mohaa registry entry first.
PKM :
is there an english version, kruger ?
try the opengl site.
http://www.opengl.org/
looked at that before krug but i had no clue as to what to download .
Lol, dudes, you don't download anything from OpenGL.org unless you're a graphics application developer.
What you need is drivers for your video card from
intel.com, nothing more (the website is pretty straightforward, go to support & downloads and pick the video driver for your chipset). But if this doesn't help, something's probably f**ked up VERY bad.
are you sure it will not work downloading opengl ? I would try it.
http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Utilities/Required_Files/OpenGL_Download.html or do what rook says ....if not restore :dozingoff
edit: just checked my driver's actual install date . 2003 . last driver for my chipset was 05, so rook, you were correct . i'm in and everything's fine .
Yes, I'm bloody sure, Kruger. It's the video card manufacturer's responsibility to provide an OpenGL implementation for the card. The file you posted a link to is a library that provides the OpenGL API to applications (and does nothing more but to forward the calls to the video drivers), and it's meant for Windows 95, since it lacked one.
As I said, you only download stuff branded solely by OpenGL and not one of the video card manufacturers if you are a graphics developer.
Glad it worked, PKM.
wtg PKM , im glad you found the problem .
i would say the default drivers would just get the card going ! and the actual main drivers get the rest of the card going .
match the dx up too and it should work even better .
lol , glad you sorted it phil. :yes
