Hi, I was wondering what free programs you can use to read or view DDS files...

   I think that "Gimp" , it's free, has a builtin plugin

try xnview too, its also free. You dont need to convert them i guess if you change the extension of dds to tga, that will do.

sagethumbs is cool also allows ya to right click it and get a nice thumb preview:)
