Title: stopping or tracking a hacker?
Post by: makon on December 20, 2004, 10:20:07 PM
well some people are pissed off at me at a different forums, and supposedly one of them threatens to hack my computer. this one is my parents' (mine is getting a new vid card, and harddrive) and id rather not see anything on this computer ruined if the threatener goes through with it. are there any programs, besides norton antivirus, that can help?

   i know, i worry too much :p

The best thing to do is buy yourself a router

It will stop 99.99999 percent of intruders trying to access computers

easy to set up and not expensive at all about 40 to 70 dollars...

If you have a router do not worry about it......anyway if someone threatens your computer its usually a NOOB anyway.......A person doing that will not even tell you if they are serious about it....

From computer fairs or electrical shops.

A good firewall will block most pests too
