Hey all, I'm quite tempted to create a sandbox like mod for MoH.

   For that I'll need at least the following:

   

   - A concept

   - A map

   - Animations

   

   I already know how to script and let's keep it simple and not make skins for it (maybe later).

   

   So it's something like GTA with a story but first I want to do in the WWII era unlike GTA. It'll generate pedestrians, driving cars, interactive conversations, little details etc... but it'll be clientside first.

   So anyone got some storyline, interactive, environment... ideas for me?

sounds kinda laggy, you can do a Pearl Harbor sandbox map, walk to the shooting range,willy's jeeps pass by, walk to the mess hall, walk to the Lieutenant's office, you see kamikazes shooting at you, go to gun building, grab a BAR, shoot em down, knda like the opening level of Pacific Assault http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKjSoWEWCzA&feature=related

Laggy? Why? If the script is well made, it should run fine. But Pearl Harbor is a good idea!!

I mean laggy because AA has to draw all the pedestrian models, cars, and its all an open area, naturally gonna be laggy

   
But Pearl Harbor is a good idea!!

   I actually had this idea a while back, except for some reason I stopped mapping it, guess I'll start it back up

Hmm yeah that's a good point, however they're AI will be turned off so I can make them do what I want. And I could script a system that they only get shown if the player can see them. Like mod hippy did for his anti-cham. But instead of undrawing them, I hide them, turn their sequences off, until they reach a certain radius of the player.

   

   I know judge is good at making lightning through textures and use as little as possible lightning in the map itself, so that'll be very good for the fps.

i ripped the hole PA game,,so if you need some models,,,

   

   lets start making PA for AA-SH-BT

   

   i cant map

   

   but i can deliver a lot of models

   

   the hole PA game is 1 big model

   every obj. is a model

oo, I dont know man, its a big job, and the MoHAA engine is just not enough for this type of mod. Can you consider another engine. Ra, you still there?
