Hey all, were looking for people that have worked in these 2 games and wish to help us support them here, you should be familiar with the file types etc, some Modding background would help altho there doesnt seem to be much of that going on in Airborne ... yet. 

We are looking into running our own MasterServers and i would like to see these 2 games included in our support.

Moh: Pacific Assault - Seems you have to VPN to login or some weird setup now, anyone tried this? Can this be bettered? Can we bring PA back online?  I would like to see this happen, that really is a great engine with some nice features and maps, another Moh classic worthy of saving!

Moh: Airborne - The only modding ive noticed in this game is a few tweaks to the weapons damage although we have only just started looking at it, the inbuilt Editor has been disabled, possibly part removed, Thor has found some files that this needs but we havent managed to enable it as yet. Some reverse engineering may be required to look into this further - can you help here? Our interests here not only lie in the game but also the engine, from a modders perspective what can be done in here? We would like to hear from you on this.



I dont want people replying with negative posts or slating these games, if thats what you think dont bother replying, ill just delete your post. There are communities and players out there that love these games that need help and no-one is there to assist them, i would like to see more support from MRU and the community for these 2 games, if you feel you can help here then jump onboard with us, our interests lie in keeping Moh alive, whatever flavour it be.

Been looking at the exec's in hex editor and it seems you would need to fix the part where it has you login in to ea account, and the server browser goes to gamespy when checking servers list so that would have to be changed maybe like own-em-all did with the mohaa server patch thing where it goes to the reborn servers lists.
Are those exec's like a bsp can you just change the name of something so it don't even use it ?  It lets you run a lan game so there must be a way to just use  console to connect to a server.  Maybe I'll look around see if any company runs PA, I know gametracker doesn't list it anymore.

Yeh makes sense, looks like well be needing a MasterServer for that and someone to hack the exe file.

I have a dump text file here from Thor {sfx} from Moh: Airborne but we have no onsite "My Files" at present so ill wait until we do as i would rather keep links to things onsite.

I downloaded the mod tools for PA today man it has everything in it, milk shape radaint script writer rez tool pakscape all that good stuff.   Had to fool around to get it to work in windows 7 64 bit but it works good. Comes with tuts and stuff. Going to see about the textures maybe try using them in a mohaa map...lol.

cool all I been doing is going through all the .rez files  see what's in them. I do have a question can you switch tga's for dds and just change shaders to point to the dds instead? Oh wait, need to check the models tik's too see if they say anything about the tga's. I got me an Idea ::)

I havent looked to see which it is using yet, but did notice lots of DDS there.
