Im wondering is there a way to add more BOTS? Say....20?50?100? to each MOH game?? Im loving playing BOTS but one thing is they are scripted and do the same things pretty much every time "i dont like that :("...and TWO there isnt enough running around. If they are going to be scripted I at least would like a LOT of them running around. Ive read some on adding but not going anywhere with it..Can someone please help with this..Thanks
ALSO wondering..MOHAA/sh/bt are all the same games. Why isnt it possible to just add all the BOT modded maps OR all maps in general to one game so there is no need to go back and forth to all 3 games?
Hi Mike, Bots use pathnodes and yes - they always look for the shortest route so will always go the same way - unless an enemy has gotten past that area i guess, for variation you could add more and have them thread to a script that randomises where they start in the map etc, this does mean you will either have to add more pathnodes or they just in the same location (sniper/MGer?), and also learn some scripting.
You can add as many as you like as long as your PC can handle it, im not sure which Bot maps/Mods your running so cant advise much on that but i know JVs come with documentation which will learn you how to add more. There may be a guide/tut on the database - always worth a search. Im sure with JVs you can add more by opening console and doing something like JV_Bot_Addbot 6 or some command - time for some homework on your behalf too ;)
AA/SH/BT are not the same games, each one has had differences added, new commands, changes to the engine etc etc that isnt supported in previous versions so there is that to take into account, the BSP magic number is also different in all 3 games. The OpenMoh project will address a lot of those issues im sure. We have converted maps and models from BT and SH to work in AA and are currently on the database as far as im aware, if not PM Gold on here.

Yea i finally got more bots added..and yes..they kind of do the same routine over and over..but its still fun..and if you run around and dont camp its still challenging..Especially picking up the game again after like 10 years..lol..My issue is im not a programer,or skilled in any sort of way with commands really..so getting things working on my end is almost nil ..I think I have the bot skill level up to 4? not sure if it goes higher?? ALSO I was directed by someone here to go to another MOH forum and sign up. I never got an confirmation and cant log in on that site..its been days now..SO you can add "mod" maps and characters and such to MOHAA from SH and BT? Will they have bots on all maps?? Thanks for any help.
Haha yeh cant beat a good game of Moh for sure :)
i dont remember the bots skill levels anymore but the documentation should tell you and how to change it which would probably be another console input.
The BT/SH maps wont have bots on, the bots from SH and BT would take a lot of work to get into AA, the singleplayer maps may still have the pathnodes on so you would just need to spawn some bots and theyll run around happily using the existing pathnodes. There may also exist bot maps for SH + BT that im not aware of.
Who directed you to where? Most of us are members on the other Moh sites so could ask the admins to look into it for you.
Just to Add one of the guys on X-null was working on a new AI Bot not sure how far along the project is
$or is also doing some serious work with Bots but he can post here himself on this as its his own project
