Due to many requests, we have decided to have a kind of intake where peeps can become members of {fosfx}, basically they are peeps who help out here with various skills, testing,ideas, etc - you name it

   

   Theres no "clan type" thingy goin on here - just a bunch of guys havin fun and learning/helping etc

   

   Requirements:

   Have an interest in what we do here

   Be able to offer help/ideas for projects

   Be competent in their chosen skill although this is not essential as hopefully we can team a load of guys up of each interest that can help each other along

   Have fun

   

   Please leave any details below and well get you in and working alongside other guys with similar interests

   

   Hopefully you all can start some tutorial sections off which will benefit everyone

   BE ADVISED...people joining fosfx/and current members please note - we behave like adults here and some of the posts i have seen from certain members are a little how shall i say - childish.

   

   Please dont post things that arent really needed or comments that appear childish etc or we will have to start removing people from fosfx, we try to do things right here and would like to keep our image in the community on a professional level, if this does not happen then we will be applying an age limit and removing people from within fosfx.

Well the best way is to look at what it is you want to do and start reading up on it and looking at tutorials, if we can help in any way we will in the forums

hey all ive, like my friend willis i have been wanting to be involved with modding scince i first saw a modded server back when i got the game but never realy had this kind of chance to be one, ive been monotoring (sp) the server quite alot now and i think its awsome but i think i would change a few things to make it kool for all of us e.g i have gathered that you lot dont like nades but im sure other people do ,so i was thinking maybe having nades on certain maps like on stallin grad or the southern france one, that way people would be getting the best out of the server.

I already posted to your m8 the reason why there is no nades on the server and it has nothing to do with anyone liking them.

Id like to become a {fosfx}. I can think of mod ideas and you can test mods and ideas on me if u want to.

Killanumber1 i have revoked your fosfx membership for repeatedly team killing people on the server with the remote detonators, please dont ask to be an fosfx member again!

   

   We expect our {fosfx} members to show an example on our server, not piss people off by team killing them which in turn will probably make people leave the server, your also giving people the wrong impression about {fosfx}.

Im sure killanumber1 blew me up with tht dynamite thing. On that level which has the aeroplanes on and the axis land on the roof of a cabin... Anyway, I would like to apply for {fosfx} because I could help people with problems on the server and show them where something is because i know the server like the back of my hand and have been on the special level on Omaha. I will read the rules so i don't make the same mistake that killanumber1 made!! I know that i have just joined but i have been wanting to but my computer or internet browser kept crashing every time bou i have sorted that and was glad to join!!!

   Relatively new to the game and scripting considering its 3 yrs old

   

   A friend convinced me to buy a copy of the game last august. Difficult cos I was a true rts 'command-and-conquer' head

   

   I was relatively amused by the sp game but was totally gobsmacked by the fab gameplay of the mp online game. Especially on modded servers.

   

   In the early days I even tried the disgusting cheater-gay wallhack - yep named and shamed - but I bet most modders / admins have if they were honest - to see what it's all about.

   

   Have gone on to buy the full suite of games inc Pacific which was very 'disposable' but a nice if short fix.

   

   Now rent and run a 16 man server - which evolved into a collection of copy/paste mods (there is a link to a supporting webby where I try to credit all of the mods I have 'grazed')

   

   I am now a man on a mission. I spend 10 % of the mohaa time admin'ing the server and 90 % trying to learn this stuff - trying to be original and run a clean and fun mohaa game.

   

   I havent done any programming since a bit of Basic on my old Vic 20 and Commodore 64 - and most of that was typing those crappy scripts from the PC gaming mags and recording them on audio tape (anyone here as old as me  )

   

   But my skills are developing and I am starting to do my own stuff.  I post in TMT a lot.

   

   But the main reason I want to be a fosfx is cos you set the standard - whan I just fancy losing myself in a good clean game I jump in the mru server.

   

   I am happy to help in any way i can on the script front. eg researching forums / testing

   

   No conflict of interest as my sever is a small affair for friends and will only have my own stuff and public domain stuff and I am prepared to take it down from time to time to beta test if that was useful.

ThingsHappen i already know you and can vouch for you on our server, welcome to {fosfx} and keep up the good work testing  

   

   SSUk - yes theres a few of us oldies still around, i myself have been around since the early spectrum days and progressed through them all /48k speccy/vic20/cbm64/cpc464-664-6128/amigas/ataris/etc (ahhh the memories) - most of my basic scripting was on the cpc464 (yeh from mags too).

   

   ive played Moh since it came out, left a few times for other games but always came back - yes its the gameplay (and now the mods) :satisfied

   

   Anyway, welcome to {fosfx}, hope we have what your looking for and can help bring your skills along.

   

   I was debating with the guys on removing the {fosfx} idea but its peeps like you that have the interest that keeps it alive, i think ill have to prune it over the next week or so, inactive=status removed as there obviously is no interest.

   Yesterday i learned how to skin nades

   (but dont how to make them to pk3:s thats another part :P)

Just remember, the pk3 mirrors what the original pk3s structure is like

   eg ... everything in its properly named folder

i can't be a member

   because it's a rule in our clan ,to wear only our tag,

   

   but i can test mods and give some idea's

   we have mappers in our clan and i think they like it to,

We dont enforce people to wear tags m8, thats their choice, were also not a clan so i dont see how it would affect anyone. Were just a modding team that likes to have some fun and learn along the way

   

   Youve already joined my server before in BT (and had some fun i hope :o_O , so no probs if you wanna jump in with me/us when were testing.

   

   To be a member of {FOSFX} you need to have an active interest in modding.

   

   People dont have to join {fosfx} to mod by the way, the forums get many visitors that mod their own way etc
