Nope it's not George Michaels hobby. Its the process of spawning pc controlled players (AI or bots) in the game. It can be done constructively - say to test a modded map - or maliciously - ie to try and ruin a server

I would have thought an IP ban would cure that, tried Autokick?

yeah I tried auto kick but they still get through and bott the server and still fill it up and they get kicked in the process but in the mean time its slowly slowing down the server and then it crashes :(

the botting program is called XXXXXX but its a virus to so dont download it.lol..

but anyways..no auto kick doesnt help it and CI is supposed to stop it to but it doesnt :(

I wish there was a way to bann there IP completely so they cannot connect to my server at all...because CI, Auto kick still gives them time to get in server crash it or Bot the server...

It sucks and Im at a loss..these loser botters crash my server so much that it crash's rcon as well...and Im pissed....restarting server from website doesnt even help with the rcon crash issue :(

any and all help is appreciated.

   thanks

Cobra i do understand why you edited his posts but in some cases would it not be a better idea to tell people these things so others are aware of what they are so possibly to try and stop these botters? or am i way out and if you know what it is is irrevalent?

   p.s. sorry about the spelling

The bot he means isnt a cheat but used to attack and flood an IP, i wouldnt tell no-one what it was called as theres always some smart arse wants to try it.

F3n1x if anyone PMs you asking for it let me know please, if i find out more ill PM you back on this

Im told there may be a server setting to stop this F3n1x  ( seta sv_reconnectlimit "8" ) see what yours is set to in your config

This comes from the FAKKTools.

sv_reconnectlimit - how many times a client is allowed to re-connect before being disconnected (default 3)

So I don't think this is going to help. Moreover, as far as I know this program just creates new client instances, sends the challenge request and closes the connection with the server.

Itll certainly cut the problem down if you have it set too high, thats a start

I don't think so, as the default value is 3 and you suggest increasing it to 8. ;)
