Yes, I'm bloody sure, Kruger. It's the video card manufacturer's responsibility to provide an OpenGL implementation for the card. The file you posted a link to is a library that provides the OpenGL API to applications (and does nothing more but to forward the calls to the video drivers), and it's meant for Windows 95, since it lacked one.

   

   As I said, you only download stuff branded solely by OpenGL and not one of the video card manufacturers if you are a graphics developer.

Lol, dudes, you don't download anything from OpenGL.org unless you're a graphics application developer.

   

   What you need is drivers for your video card from intel.com, nothing more (the website is pretty straightforward, go to support & downloads and pick the video driver for your chipset). But if this doesn't help, something's probably f**ked up VERY bad.

No it's not. It's a question of aligning the models' rotation by fractions of degrees, and you have to do that separately for every weapon.

   

   I may make a version crafted specially for Modern Warfare, though. :)

Thanks, guys, that's just the beginning. :) There will be a new gametype that will (hopefully) take advantage of the new way of fighting and some other stuff I don't want to talk about just yet. What I can say is that I have a plan how to turn Omaha from a lame, rarely played sniperfest map into an intense assault level!

Hehe. :) This time they're not done using animations but pure code! ;)

   

   Too bad such possibilities were not available from the beginning when the game was released.

Since I'm very much into realistic tactical shooters lately (I'm addicted to http://tcelite.net">True Combat Elite (it's free!), http://realitymod.com">Project Reality and Armed Assault), I thought MoHAA could also use this kind of gameplay, without changing much of the game's look and feel. This mod is fruit of a few weeks of on and off work in spare time (i.e. when I was frustrated by problems when working on OpenMoHAA :P) and is at an early development stage, but already presents some substantial features. :) Well, enough for some public testing, anyway.

   

   And no, this is not just ironsights. There's also some weapon accuracy tweaking, it's much more realistic now.

   

   Currently the mod is half-server side. I.e. everything apart from the ironsights works even on stock (unmodded) clients. Even the stock clients don't have the crosshair - it only appears when they enter the aiming mode (modded clients will get their ironsights instead). So even peeps without the mod can join the fun. :)

   MAKE SURE TO READ THE README!!! You can break your game if you don't do it!

   

   I'd like you to test it and give me some feedback and bug reports. :) If you set up a server, please let me know, I didn't have a chance to actually play it yet. :)

MOHAA Series: General / OpenMoHAA project

   OpenMoHAA is an attempt at creating a free, open-source http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_engine_recreation">game engine capable of running Medal of Honor: Allied Assault content (in much the same way that http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenTTD">OpenTTD runs Transport Tycoon Deluxe or http://sourceforge.net/projects/fitd/">Free in the Dark runs Alone in the Dark), technically superior to the original one by improving security, stability and adding features. It's not a patch, in fact, it has little to do with the original at all, apart from the functionality, which it will try to immitate as closely as possible. It will be built almost from scratch upon the rock-solid codebase of http://www.ioquake3.org">ioquake3.

   

   The project will be housed http://map.planetmedalofhonor.gamespy.com/mohaa">.map for MoHAA. A http://map.planetmedalofhonor.gamespy.com/mohaa/forum/index.php?c=14">dedicated forum section has been created, where you can follow OpenMoHAA's development.

   

   We've already had some significant success with it - preliminary support for MoHAA's maps has been added and works. :) Screenshots can be viewed in http://map.planetmedalofhonor.gamespy.com/mohaa/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13083">this thread.

   

   We hope it will help breathe some new life into this great game and bring back at least some of those who have left the community!

BTW, under Linux the fgameded.so file is in the root MoHAA directory (same as where the main executable is), not in main subdirectory. You couldn't have it work with different fs_game settings anyway.

I have and they certainly are broken in the wincrap builds. Haven't ever tried the Linux ones.

Whoa, I haven't actually played yet (the server was empty all day today :( ), but I had a run around the map and I must admit I'm pretty impressed! :) Mapping such a thing in such a short period of time - wow.
