Not sure if any of you have seen that Amazon now have a game development team and have released an engine (based on CryEngine) to rival UE4, Unity, etc..

@ Cobs: I thought that you'd like that one - lol. 8)

There was always "Congressional" in the back of my mind but it lacks the ring of a "war game" name.

Or "Order of Merit".

MOHAA Series: General / Re: Next-Gen Moh Ideas Thread

When you say "new" do you mean new to MOHAA or  the whole franchise, like TOW and LIB or Protect-The-Tank and the same with the maps (add SH and BT maps)?

Would there be any benefit to selling the game for 99p (for example) to raise funds for other areas or do you want to keep it completely free?

Putting my scripting hat on, with a change in renderer would that mean a change in the textures or would that all be taken care of in the new 'PK3s'?

I have no idea what git hub is but I do understand the logistics of software development, repositories, revisions, testing and the like.

The current website has it's uses and acts as a place for people to come, that aren't members of the {sfx} team, and get fixes, mods, etc for their game and hopefully gets some of them to try modding for themselves.

I see the points that Elgan and Leyok are making. However, I don't see the point of throwing all of this away to create a website that will produce a version of the game, at some point in the future. What is there to be during this "void"?

Will openMOHAA be backwardly compatible with MOHAA or will it be a totally different file structure?
If it is to be backwardly compatible then why not keep all of the current mods to use?

Will openMOHAA live up to it's name or will it be made so that it cannot be modded and then you develop "DLC" for it?
