Error logging

Hi All

   

   We have a few ingame maps converted to mulitplayer freeze tag, when we play the normal stock maps we get a log file from 10 to 20meg, however when we play the ingame maps we get a log file from 100meg plus I have files 195meg, most of the logged information is as follws:

   Please fix.

   ERROR: Entity::LoopSound: tank_snd_run needs an alias in ubersound.scr or uberdialog.scr

   

   Is there a way to stop logging errors and only log the info for that stats.

About an ubersound.scr.. Any mods of Sounds? or something like Death Voices 2, etc?

   (I'm not a modder myself for now.. I'll try to refind exactly the things to script etc..)

You need to aliascache the sounds its asking for (look in PAk0/ubersound/ubersound.scr for all the sounds), You can use Jv_maps scriptmaster - its just some handy code for caching sounds, not all will work going from Sp to MP tho

   

   Add this to your maps scr above prespawn ...

   (you only need 1 scriptmaster line and aliascache the rest like the second line)

   

   local.master = spawn ScriptMaster

   local.master aliascache tank_snd_run sound/vehicle/veh_tank_run.wav soundparms 1.2 0.0 0.9 0.0 2500 13000 auto streamed maps "dm obj m "

Hi Cobra

   

   I have a sound fix with the urbersounds in there, we have the sounds but not all, its just we get loads of code errors in the log file lol, I clean out the error codes in a 199meg file and was left with a 13meg file lol

   

   will put the scriptmaster in the scr files
