can a dedicated server box be patched

can a dedicated server box be patched ? after the game has been uploaded to the box .

   

   uploaded a full mohaa and mohsh installed game ! but did not patch the spearhead with the

   mohaas_patch_20_to_211.exe & MOHAAS_Patch_211_to_215.exe .

   

   if i upload the patches and run them on the server box , it installs to my pc not the box .

It would need patched by the guy that owns it i would say, or you could upload your SH files to the server and remove the unpatched ones, i dont think you need a sound folder on a dedi.

ok when i have patched my game on my pc ! .

   what files are changed and if any are added what are they called .

   and were will i find them all , mainta is my spearhead folder , and before this folder its MOHAA here are the exe's and such .

   

   i have no idea what files to upload .

   it seems to me like it would be best for me to let the company fix it or redo the server with the patches in place .

For Sh, I think:

   Patch 2.11 adds pak4 + other stuff ( I assume not sure, like sound folder i.e )

   Patch 2.15 adds pak5 + other stuff

   

   I would check with the hosting company for the patch. They all have different deals and policies.

thanks for the info , its all over my head , i dont want to do it my self , im just getting info back to pass on .

   i think renting a server would be much quicker .

Only a few things you can do. Ask the server company to install the game for you. Or get Deamon tools and install it on the box, then create .iso files of the game and upload them to the server, load them into deamon tools to install them. Then patch the game.

   

   There is another way but it is more tricky to do, do not do it if you are not comfortable messing with reg files. Have all the game files on the box in the proper directory. C:Program FilesEA GAMESMOHAA . Then find the registery file on your computer and copy them to your desktop, then put them on the box and open the reg file to install a new registery. Then you will be able to install the patch.
