Fast grenada throwing...

Hi I've been out for a while but now that I'm back I wanna start making maps again, play online, share my maps etc... But when I played online yesterday, I saw people throwing grenades but like less than a second ago they still had a gun in their hands!?! How do they do that? I mean, when I have a SMG or whatever in my hands, I have to scroll all the way to the grenades and I could be killed before I've even thrown one! How do those peeps switch to grenades that fast? I think I read once about a special mod that allows you to do this by pressing a special button or something, but I'm not sure...
