Let us never forget the war actually ended when Japan surrendered.

VE day is Victory Europe . nothing to do with the japan thing. europe celebrates VE day cos they are europian!.

   

   And in effect the war didnt just end like that. for m,any years after the war people still got killed and had to ration food and work things out,

Germany: General Alfred Jodl signs official surrender of Germany on 08 May 1945.

   

   Japan: General Douglas MacArthur accepts surrender of Japan on 02 September 1945.
