would it be possible to make a program that adds all the know file names of spywere and viruses to where they would be on your comp if it were infected

   

   but make the files empty and read only so the cannot be replace with the real ones

   

   i only say this cause i had some FCADVICE spywere that hijacked IE with 100's of in window popups

   and id remove but it kept comin back so i just made fake files with same name and folders it used and problem solved

thats a cool idea. hwoever their is million, you pc would slowly well, slow down and use up lots of space!.

   

   and you might not ever get any of them, wasting space.

   

   

   use firefox! haha , andit must be something u were doing to get it back, or some programme in the pc creating it at startup.

i use adaware SE for routine sweeps , then every once in awhile i blitzkrieg the files with http://www.download.com/Bazooka-Adware-and-Spyware-Scanner/3000-8022-10247782.html">[yellow]bazooka[/yellow]

   and use mozilla's automatic pop up blocker.

   

   of course with bazooka it just identifies the spyware, links you to their page where bazooka tells you how to manually remove the spyware/virus

hey guys i just downloaded spy sweeper and installed it.. i open it up and this box comes up saying it needs to restart my pc before it can work, restart now or restart later.. iv restarted my pc 2 times and it still happens! whatt shall i do

Remove it and use Ad-Aware from lavasoft - google it - its free

i use adware, xoftspy se, nod32, spybot search and destroy,

   

   for cleaning i use tunup untilities 2006, regcure, xpsmoker and wintools.net
