im tryna install a program but it says it needs .net 1.1 so i follow the link to microsofts site and it says get it thru windows update, i go there and there only the 2.0 version so i download it but the prgram still wants 1.1. so i uninstall 2.0 but 1.1 doesnt come up in widows update only 2.0 again?

any ideas how i can get it?

Windows XP already has .net framework 1.1 I do believe. Also has asp.net. I do not know what os you have. Look in the services menu of your operating system.

no it doesnt, 1.1 you have to download, doesnt come with xp. 1.1 programmes should work on 2.0 but the programme must be checking for 1.11 and not knwing about 2.0 i suppose.

   what programme is it?

im on xp, its bf2 autoloader mentioned by cobra http://www.mods-r-us.net/forums.php?m=posts&p=11795#11795">here

On the prgrams site it says:
www.bf2al.com:
Windows XP x64 edition and .net 2.x users : You MUST install .NET framework v1.1 even if u have .NET framework v2.x installed as v2.x is not backwards compatible with earlier versions. Both versions can be installed on your system simultaneously as they do not conflict.

I never installed framework on my computer but it is there. Along with asp.net. All I did was install xp.

It's included with XP SP 2.
