OBJ to TDM problem

Hi Guys,

   

   I am new to your forums and to running a server so any help would be greatly appreciated.

   

   I have downloaded the pk3 obj_to_TDM which calls the obj maps in the rotation. The problem seems to be when you die you cannot respawn on the same team. You can switch teams but not stay the same. I have searched but can't seem to find any posts with the same problem.

   

   Any ideas please?

Hi m8 and welcome, is it the one in our mod files section you are trying?, if so what game are you using it in (AA/SH/BT), is your server obj or tdm?, and what is the first map in rotation?

   Thanks for the response.

   

   Yes its the one from the mod files running in AA. The server config is set to TDM with the first map being dm/mohdm1 then obj/obj_team1.

   I have seperated each obj map with a stock tdm one. The maps themselves run without problem its just the respawn.

Im not sure what could be causing that, ive made 1 for you to try - its the hunt in tdm, can you unzip this one and try it on your server and let me know if it respawns?

Thanks for that mate, I'll get back to ya with the result.  It's always sods law that when you want to shut the server down there's always people on it!!!  lol

   Ok delete the one i just gave you and download the one from the Mod Files section again, ive placed a new one there, still not sure what the cause was but have done all 4 like i did with the one you just tested incase it happens again :)

   

   (contains The Hunt/V2/Omaha/Bridge)

Hi Cobra,

   

   The Hunt & Omaha work no problem, V2 has the same respawn problem. I havent tried The Bridge with it being a TDM map anyway. I have had a look at the .scr file but to be honest I don't really know what I'm looking for.

Hmmm thats weird, V2 has the same startup as the others, ive moved the respawning info to after prespawn - can you try that and see if it makes a difference? (delete old pk3 and grab new one again from Mod Files)

Hi cobra mate,

   

   Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

   

   Omaha beach works without any problems.

   

   Both V2 & The Hunt do not allow respawn on to the same team.

   The Hunt plays similar to obj. The bomb has gone but when players get killed they go into spec and the game ends when the last player on the losing side gets killed.

   Are you supposed to be able to call the obj maps through rcon? It won't let me, so when they are in rotation I have to wait until each map moves on to test them.

   

   

   Any ideas mate??

Not sure what the problem is m8, worked fine on our server.

   

   When called thru console you would be asked to change the gametype, best leaving them come round naturally, you can use timelimit 1 on the map before it and put timelimit 10 when its changing.
