Hi all!   :)

   

   Finally i manage to put all things together and just released the first BETA version of my new mod " -=Protect the Tank=- ".

   

   There is still alot to be done and fix, but think it is playable already. I would love some help on testing it. Testers are all welcome !!  ;)

   

   I've worked the mod for Destroyed Village map only. I intended to work it on more maps from dm and also single play.

   

   I really hope u like it... I DO.  :D

I've fixed most of the major problems on the server. It is fully playable, no lag. But still i need to test it with people in it. It might show up new issues that i'm not aware about.

   

   So if u wanna have some fun escorting / destroying a tank...give it a shot ;)

Thanks alot for the feedback m8 i replied to your message. Once more wonderful work on the tank smashing the wall and also good work on the expansion of DV_airborn, BobUK . ;) u both have done a great job.

Are you thinking in developing the mod even more? I have a few ideas. You could make the axis spawn tank barriers with the explosives red area for the oposing team to destroy the barriers, or in the end of the tank's path the tank shoots against a target the oposing team has to deffend. Or put an mg42 on the tank for a player to be close the tank and protect the tank like in Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory map "Goldrush". And you could use a sherman tank instead of a panzer when its the allies' turn to deffend the tank.

The Sherman in Mohaa doesnt have any wheel anims, just the axis tanks Soares.

After playing it the other night i think the tank having some preset areas to shoot at while its on the move could help the team escorting it a little

Hi soares .

This mod is still under development. Will have new things for sure. But all ideas are welcome.

I thought of adding and mg42 on the tank for a player to get on the tank and shoot the mg42 (like the  A.V.A. Game), i will work on that soon, have tried a few things already but there is a problem with the tank moving and having objects glued to it while he is driving.
Seems tank doesnt move because it presumes that is crashing against the object that is glued to the tank.

I need to work on that on different approach, but that will be a a future update, at this moment i'm still trying to fix the most bugs i find. And also will add a new map soon.

About the tank model, i used the same one because i like the skin of it :D not worried about the origin of the tank. But cobs is right some tanks doesnt have anim whells and i dont like that.

Cobs sorry for not following what u mean there, think my english is getting worse  :o.

PS: We need to arrange a night to talk about undone projects cobs, sorry have been busy trying to make this mod more populate by beeing on the server trying to fill it .

Maybe you could use the same method used in Base Assault mod to put the MG42 on the tank, but i think for this mod its best if the machinegun is located on the exterior on the tank with the player's upper body exposed so the oposing team has a chance to take him down and reduce the tank's escort.

Haha ok Pac, when the escorting team are in the tanks trigger have the tank fire its cannon at some preset target areas ( script origins) so the tank is helping the escorting team :)

No rush with projects Pac, enjoy the festive season first, i also got made redundant from work last week so have been distracted myself.

Hi PacRac, for some reason you mod makes my game freeze when changing maps, making it necessary to reconnect, im using the 1.1 patch and the RTCW mod, but it only happens in your server.

Ye i've notice that u keep crashing when map changes, but you are the only one that have this problem so it might be from ur side. try to remove any mod u're using and check if it still crash. Or try to reinstall mohaa again.
