I once dowloaded a free trial of Lightray3D but it didn't worked with .skd files, does the link you have is for a version with the skd plug-ins?

I bought Lightray for the specific purpose of letting our Modding team use it, unfortunately someone started giving it away and i was even offered a copy of my own version of Lightray by someone so i stopped giving it out. Yes my version is the full version with the needed plugins.

Cant seem to find the makers Website tho, has he gone under/moved on?
