new connection. ADSL what you use and is it good?

moving house like on thrusday into a rente dhouse for 6 months eeek.



   Mummy said to research connections and if i dont they dont get the net. So i guess it will have to be adsl broadband cheapy connection thing.



   What do people use in the like UK!, do u like em. trust em. pay good etc?

hey Elgan

   For me i use AOL gold which is 10 time faster than dial up, i pay 20 pounds a month, well my dad does :D.

   I think AOL would be the best to sign up with, you have no download limits, no time limit and you get a good pop-up bloker :).

   There are 3 types of AOL packages 1. aol silver which is 5 time faster, 2.the one i got AOL gold 10 times faster and 3. aol platinum which is really good

20 times faster.

You can easly look up more on AOL.com they will give you more info

There is another one called wonadoo broadband, i hear thats quiet cheaper than AOL but you do get download limits and other stuf

Pipex.com 2mb business line is nippy, altho u pay thru the nose for a business line

Yeh cant fault pipex - ive been with AOHell/Demon/Bt but pipex is super reliable

   I have cable but only 300k.



   Its always on (no dailup),

   No upload/download limit,

   Can be ran by usb or lan. (i use 10/100 ethernet instead of usb)



   I play in the Dallas server in the USA & run 130-150 ping. I am always getting good comments on it as i have better pings than some peeps in the USA.

   Your 1.5mb should be real nice, not sure about the wireless, cant see how it can be better than a wire but time will tell.

me too. the wirless's signal isnt %100 either about 50 but the speed feels ok. Just it wont handle traffic so no servering:(
